Wordslinger Shootout Round# 12

This is what we’ve all been waiting for: my second appearance in the tournament. My gruesome story “Head Full of Worms” goes up against Mike Strom’s gruesome story “Severance”.  I’m encouraging everyone to pop over to vote so that I might win or lose by larger margins than the last time. Thanx and watch out for the worms!

Wordslinger Shootout Round# 11

I’m not sure what happened to round 10, but I blinked and I missed it. Number 11 is live with a competition between Peter Salomon and C. Bryan Brown. The secret ingredient is “curtains” and neither author took the easy route of a Wizard of Oz pastiche. So fans, pop on over and vote early and often. My second appearance in the tournament will be next week.

Wordslinger Shootout Round# 5

Another week and another pair of authors goes head to head. The competitors are Peter Salomon and Peggy Christie who turn in two very creepy stories inspired by the prompt: “depression”. Each is giving copies of their books as prizes to those who vote.

I will be in round seven and I’ve already gotten my flash story turned in. Be on the look-out

Wordslinger Shootout: Round 4

This week’s secret ingredient is “baseball” and there are two wildly different stories offered up this time. One is a horrifying vignette of the Apocalypse and the other is a poignant story of tradition and the supernatural. Early voting is going for the Apocalypse, but for the first time I am rallying my vast fanbase (snerk) to vote for the underdog. Authors this week are William Grabowski and James Chambers. Enjoy.

Wordslinger Shootout: Round Two

Sorry that I missed the first round. Andrew Nienaber, the sickest sunavabitch in the Post Mortem Press cadre and there is no small amount of competition for that accolade, won the head to head competition against Ken MacGregor. Their secret ingredient was: “Ice”.

The second bracket is live. The competitors are KT Jayne and Aaron Besson and their writing prompt is “Wire Brush.” Both stories are horrific. You should hop over, read and vote. Enjoy.

Wordslinger Shootout

I have roped into  enlisted to join a hardened band of reprobates talented independent horror writers in a contest of writing skill in head to head competition of 200 words or less. This has been organized by the inimitable Kenneth W. Cain and includes the likes of myself and other Post Mortem Press inmates alumni like Andrew Nienaber.

The bracket structure of the tournament is judged by the input from our friends, fans and sycophants. Each author is putting up some prize, like an e-book of their latest release. I’ll be putting up an electronic copy of Camp Arcanum, so hop on over and comment to get your chance at the goods!
